Imagine a scenario where you're given the opportunity to create a new, original (sorry sequel people) season for the Digimon franchise. What would the plot summary be, and what tamers & their Digimon will be in it? If you want, you can also describe your main leader/gogglehead.
For me, my original Digimon season would revolve around a group of boarding school teenagers summoning their Digimon partner into the real world to fight the government that's trying to hush anything about their Digimon experiments. The cast all have something that they were bullied/ridiculed/made fun of for, with their Digimon mainly consisting of X-Antibody Digimon with a few Black Digimon thrown in! The main character is a standoff-ish, cold and mean Latino male who learns to be more friendly toward other people and resolve his grief over his grandpa's passing. His partner Digimon being a BlackVeemon.
Hmm, I think a multiverse series would be interesting, seeing how people react to different versions and ways that Digimon media could have existed, if at all. It's been implied it some games that there are several dimensions close enough to interact z sometimes, at least.
Honestly I would make a bit of a season with a mature theme where the human and digimon are in war with each other and that a group of human and digimon are planning to leave their worlds behind to find a new earth/digital word to live their life.
And I would also add that the main group will fight with their partners together wearing super advanced armor and weapons, and that the human are genetic enhancement humans too.
If I would name this, I would call this Digimon Adventure/Lost Evolution: Noah
I'm thinking maybe a story about various digidestined, each of them from a different part of the world. Maybe they meet their partners and go online to investigate about Digimon, so they end up sharing information. I would give it a bit of Ghost Game vibe, with the first set of episodes revolving around a new mystery before going into a more complex plot. The first episodes would be a bit slower, in order to set up the characters and their cultures. I think it would be interesting if they ended up learning how to use the Digital Gate to travel the world and stop evil Digimon, kinda like in 02, but exploring the implications more deeply.
I like the idea of bringing BlackVeemon back into modern media, but that may be because I’m a sucker for black viral variants of Digimon, like BlackAgumon, BlackGabumon, BlackGuilmon, etc.
