I think it's not good to have a bad image in the initial lot sales even though long-term sales have been realized by adding cards. This is a bad technique that Bandai does every time.
NFC also has the perspective of preventing price increases, so I cannot strongly deny it. In Japan, the price has been set so that even children can buy it. (If so, please make it waterproof for children)
Also, complicatedly, there is a permission system for Bluetooth devices in Japan, so Bandai may have chosen NFC to avoid it. At least I don't see many complaints about this in Japan, so users outside of Japan need to speak up.
