Gotta be Tamers, for sure. I grew up with the dub of Tamers, and while at that time my favorite was 02, in retrospect I realize Tamers was the series I felt fondest of. It's setting in the real world - as in, one where Digimon is a franchise like in our own - really made me connect with the characters and setting, and absolutely set my imagination ablaze.
Many years later, my fascination with Digimon and nostalgia for the series led me to research the show more, and eventually watch a subbed version of it, and I have to say I appreciate it even more now. The show is dark, but still child friendly. It has characters with real depth and complexity, but still instantly relatable to viewers. It also wasn't afraid to push boundaries a little, tackling themes that affect real people - real children - that often get ignored in similar shows targeted towards children.
I could gush about Tamers all day if you let me, but needless to say, it's my favorite season by far.
Now that the first Adventure series is available in my country for official streaming and I've been able to watch it again with Japanese voices, I think it's my favorite series. However, I really like Tamers and Savers too.
